After tax season finally ended, we set out on our first family hike of the summer - Adam's canyon.
Mya was a serious trooper! She hiked the whole way up by herself!
Owen was also a trooper. He seems to find hiking very relaxing and almost always falls asleep in the pack.
For those of you who haven't gone on this hike, you can see that Mya hiking the whole way was not an easy feat! There were rocks to climb over, parts that went almost straight up, and even trees to walk across/climb over.
We made it! The falls at the top are beautiful! After a little picnic lunch and playing in the water we headed back down.
About a third of the way down Mya slipped and hit her tailbone right on a sharp rock.
The poor girl cried when she walked for the rest of the day and couldn't run for a few days after that, but has since made a full recovery.
Duncan was superdad and carried both kids most of the way back after her fall. These kids are sure lucky to have such an awesome daddy! (And I'm lucky to have such an awesome husband.)
