Catching Up - April

After months of neglect, I think it is safe to say that this little blog is due for an update!  Who knew that it would so hard to get back to blogging after you haven't done it for a while?  I'll do my best to get these catch up posts out of the way quickly and then hopefully be back to blogging about life when it actually happens.

April was a busy but fun month for us!  We got another tax season out of the way, closed on our house, and managed to squeeze in a fun but fast trip to Portland for Duncan's brother's wedding.

We don't get to be together with Duncan's whole family very often, so it was a blast to have everybody together for a couple days to celebrate this cute couple:

Their reception was so cute!  They had it at this cute little barn, and decorated the place with all these beautiful twinkle lights and lanterns.  It was such a fun atmosphere.

The photographer snapped this just before Mya managed to fall into the little pond outside of the reception.  We won't go into details of the whole story, but let's just say one of her parents was watching her, and one of her parents was specifically "keeping an eye out" for the pond, and somehow this little one still managed to take a dive.  It was a little bit scary at the time, but pretty funny to laugh about afterwards.

We also had some fun in April just hanging out and playing around Salt Lake:

Mya played in the fountains at Gateway for her second time, and LOVED it.  We couldn't get her out of there even though she was freezing cold.

Took a tour of Sweet's Candy Factory and for some unknown reason, thought it would be a good idea to leave our hair nets on for the picture . . .

Walked into the family room one day and found Mya sitting like this.  Not sure how she managed to get the heavy laptop onto her lap, but she obviously had some important things to do.

This is how you'll find her on a regular basis.  Wearing mom or dad's shoes and loaded up with jewelry.

And since I'm playing catch up anyway, I just realized that these pictures didn't get blogged from March so we'll just throw them in the mix as well:

Eating fruit snacks with Uncle Todd.  - Can't wait for his baby to get here so I can return the favor - look out Todd! :)
