Grand Junctionish

We had such a fun weekend last weekend.  Dunc needed to use a couple of his days off, so we decided to take a quick trip to Grand Junction.  Kevin had somehow arranged for us to stay in a condo at a local ski resort for free while we were there, so we met up with the Lewises and headed up to the gorgeous mountains.

Mya's new favorite way to sleep.  She looks pretty funny, but we love this!  As my family can attest, she is not very good at sleeping in the car and not very fun to be in the car with when she's tired.  But her new "I play hide, seek," has made sleeping in the car almost a regular occurrence for her!

Cousin love.  Put two two-ish year olds together and it's virtually impossible to get a good picture of both of them.

Mya was obsessed with Aunt Jamie and Uncle Kevin as soon as we got there!  She always wanted to hold their hands, or have them carry her.  It was so funny to me since she doesn't get to see them very much at all.  Poor Mikey may have gotten just a little bit jealous.

Mya trying to pretend like she's a Lewis.

Maybe someday she'll appreciate having us as parents instead of Jamie and Kevin, but I won't count on that any time soon.

The kids had a blast running around, climbing over logs, and creating their own little obstacle courses.

The place we went was so gorgeous!  Tons of aspens with yellow leaves and awesome "fields of gold."  I couldn't believe how pretty it was and kept wishing my little sister was there to take some family pictures for us.  :)

Lot's of rock throwing at this lake.

"Hiking" around the parking lot.

Lands End, overlooking the valley below.

And no, I did not approve of my child being held over the ledge.  Especially after she started trying to climb over the wall by herself.

Part of the view below.  I think we were there at the best time of the year.

Another lake where the rock throwing continued.

And my adventurous child couldn't help but learn the hard way to not get too close to the water.

Luckily she ended up in mostly mud and not much water.

We loved spending time with the Lewises and are excited to hang out with them again soon!

Also, this post marks me finally being caught up with the blog!  Hallelujah!
